This is almost a maxi dress…because, well…it isn’t a dress. I made the top and bottom separately on this so I can mix or match. I won the fabric from an online message board and it traveled all the way from Germany to land in my little sewing room. Hopefully, I treated it well.
I love this fabric for its summery colors. Unfortunately, it was a bit chilly this morning when I took the pictures. We still need to warm up a bit here.

Hair – This hairstyle would be a bit harder for a novice braider. I braided all around my crown, taking hair only from the bottom. I had to switch positions twice while I was braiding. Once it was all braided, I used my 3″ pins to secure the tail in the middle of the top.

Beautiful Skirt/Dress! I love the braid. I have done a similar crown braid with the middle/top left open – the braid just wraps around the head like a crown, but this looks so cool. I’ll have to give it a try. 😉
