Focus – Week 19 – 21

May 30, 2018

It has apparently been busy around here, as I am three weeks late.

May was busy, and came along with a birthday for the girl.  She got a nice pair of sport sunglasses, since we had no other ideas for her.   There was also Mother’s Day weekend, and sure enough, yet another year of not celebrating or taking it easy.  At least I didn’t have to cook.  We were at a volleyball tournament, and their coach got the girls carnations to give us moms.  That was nice.

My accomplishments

Focus Photos – Spring flowers
Sewing –

  • I drafted a swimsuit with fabric I purchased last year from Affordable Fabrics & More.

House cleaning –

I seem to have to take days off to get any cleaning done these days.  I at least got the house cleaned up and dishes washed before we left for the out of town volleyball tournament.  It is nice to be able to come home to a clean-ish house.  Soon summer will be here and I will have two children here that will have daily chores.  Can’t wait.

Time with family –

Oh did we have family time!

Health, exercising, making healthy meals –
  • Yeah, nothing good with being out of town and constantly running for sports.  Over the last month I have gained a few more pounds.  Big bummer.  My new grill is up and running, so I need to get back to grilling out now.  It tends to be healthier.
  • Meal plan this week:  Not going to even try.  The weekend is pretty up in the air along with game nights this week.  I’m going to try to grill as much as possible.
Creative Design –

I got new drawings done:

The new panther completes my African animals collage!

I also made a wolf.

Reading –

Nothing.  I feel like I should take this out since I am such a non-starter here.

Tournament season is upon us now.  Life is getting harder and harder to get any sewing done.  That did not dissuade me from signing up for a pattern test, though.  It was an easy sew.  The girl needs clothes.
