Getting ready for Halloween!

July 24, 2018

What…is Halloween months away or something??  Yes, I know, but with pre-orders they need to get them ordered by the end of July so they come in on time.

This is a pre-order from RP Custom Fabrics and the round is called HalloMas.  She has the two holidays combined so she can make sure the fabrics are in on time for the holidays.

The print here is called Bloody Mess and I used a cotton lycra.  She chose the print.  I’m a little iffy on whether she can wear it to school.  She said she would just say it was paint.

Not so sure that is going to fly. 😉

I was given a bit over a yard, so I could go the full length of the pants out of them.  Of course, she threw on tennis shoes for the pictures, so I cut off her feet. 😉

I drafted both of the patterns, and the fabric for the top was purchased locally.  I wish I had gotten more than 2 yards, but now it is about all gone.  I made a top for myself, too.

It is a neat fabric with rips in it.  A little see through when held up to the light, but it is fine for this.  I just told her not to wear a hot pink bra underneath. 😉

The details for this round are:

Closes: July 31, 2018

How is there only a month left before the kids head back to school?  I know I need to get on to some cooler weather sewing, so at least I got this done.  She said she was cold in class a lot, so I know I need to make her warmer clothes.  She also wants baggy clothes.  I think leggings hurt her knee where she had the meniscus knee surgery.  She doesn’t want things tight on it anymore.  I think this outfit here fits the bill.  Now to just get some bigger patterns drafted for her for fall!
