This was the third strike-off sample I needed to get finished in the last week.  It was pretty dang busy!

This fabric is from the Harry Potter round over at Fabric Anthropology.  She had her artist make up some pretty cool original prints, and there are panels with some of the iconic sayings from the series.  I also received some Ravenclaw stripes, but they didn’t quite go with this print.  I will try to get them sewn up in something else, but time is short around here right now!

This is a self-drafted dress.  It was a pattern-hack I originally did for the top portion.  This one is a different silhouette.  I had to add a band at the bottom for length.

The coordinates I used were about a 200 gsm bamboo lycra.  I had requested a bamboo panel, but got a cotton lycra one instead.  It works, but the drape on the bamboo would have been better and more comfortable.  I’m generally veering away from cotton lycra lately.  I would much rather work with bamboo lycra or brushed poly, as they are more comfortable to wear and have better drape.

I didn’t have enough of my coordinates to do a full back so I split it.

It is pretty comfortable and love the saying on the shirt.  It reminds me of the Cherokee Indian legend:

    1. Thanks! I would have preferred all one color, but ran out of fabric. I like how it turned out, though!
