Lightning strikes!

November 11, 2018

I am a sucker for red fabrics.  Anything I can mix with black usually ends up in my shopping cart, since I wear it so much.  Having my kids’ school colors as red and black definitely helps, since I try to wear the fan colors at their tournaments and games.

This is the Flash lightning coordinate from the Justice round by Fabric Anthropology.

The top is pretty fun.  I wanted an edgy look to it.  I made it have short sleeves, so it layers nicely with my shrug jacket and my skull tunic.  The back is one piece and the front is split to show the tunic underneath.  It has a faux crossover front.  The band across the mid-section and banding on the faux crossover is faux leather.

I love coordinating fabric that doesn’t necessarily HAVE to be used for the associated prints.  There are some great Justice prints in this round, but I tend not to wear characters.  This print is perfect as just a print on it’s own…with a little edge. 🙂

The round is open from November  10 – 24 at:

Fabric Anthropology (US)

Thread Therapy Fabric (AU)

Witzend Fabric (CN)

Yes, I braided my own hair (I get that question a lot when I am out and about!).  I braided in some extension clips I purchased with the intent to use them on my FA Fashion Week shoots, but didn’t think they went well enough with those outfits.  I braided them in here, and it worked alright.  The clips got annoying after a few days of wear though, so I took them out after the first night of sleeping on them.
