Here is the next print in the Fun Round pre-order at RP Custom Fabrics. This is the round with the signs of the zodiac. I have to admit, I do not have much knowledge in this area. I know my sign, and occassionally read a horoscope, but that is pretty much it.
I found these images to try to decipher what was on the print:
So! That was the detail, now onto the sewing. I wasn’t really sure what to make with these. These just seem a bit dark-ish. The sizes I received were a few medium rounds.
Zodiac Moon at RP Custom Fabrics
Once the girl saw them, she claimed them. They were just the right size for a simple dolman sleeve top for her (self-drafted).
I tried my best to match the front and the back at the sides, and did fairly well at that.
The skirt is a circle skirt with an overlay (self-drafted). There is gray ponte underneath the black cut-out fabric, which has a bunch of holes in it. The shorts underneath and the waistband are ponte. It is a bit heavy, but turned out pretty cool.
It is kind of a fun outfit for a little tween that is going into middle school in the fall. She was pretty happy with it, so I call it a win!
