Luckily I had some Ren Faire outfit stuff to make. Which is outdoors. I made a few umbrella holders since it was going to be hot. Minor amount of sewing, but some sewing.
I made three of them for oiled paper umbrellas. I just took what leather scraps I had to find pieces large enough to work. I then added hardware. I tried to be creative and make them look interesting. The smaller one on the red umbrella clips to my purse and the other two go on belts.
The next two they wore on their belts.
I took inspiration from some umbrella holders on Pinterest. I had to work around what supplies I had on hand. This worked out pretty well and I was happy to be able to use up some scraps.
I was holding my daughter’s umbrella for this picture, but you can see how they both have them on their belts.
Instead of swords they had umbrellas!
