22 May 28-Jun 3 Sew a Swimsuit
This is a swimsuit that I cut out LAST summer. This could be in a WIP, as well.
This pattern is a mix of my own bottoms pattern and the 5 out of 4 Patterns Agility Tank. I made this pattern several years ago, and like having separates more than a one-piece (easier to go to the bathroom!). The straps are definitely a bit of a pain, so I tried something different. I didn’t really like how it turned out, so I had to redo it. This version turned out better.

The back:

Also…sewing swim fabric is very slippery, so using pins and clips are a must.
I bought this print several years ago, too, from one of the many custom fabric sellers on Facebook.
As an aside…I don’t think there are as many fabric sellers online as there were in the past. I sewed for several Facebook fabric groups several years back, and I know several of them went out of business. I haven’t participated in these businesses for at least 5 years. It seems most of the sellers these days are just doing kid prints and not something an adult would use. I tend to buy my own custom prints at this point, but there are a lot of fun prints on Spoonflower. I need to look at that first when I want something different and fun. After Lifetouch/Shutterfly purchased they do have more sales at least.
I loved this print and used it for a swimsuit for my daughter previously. I still had a lot left, so used it as the main fabric along with a navy solid. These are all lined and put in SEWN IN bra cups, too.

I won’t be modeling these. 😉
*The color is a bit off on the background, but the actual colors of Navy and the print are correct. Sometimes it is harder taking photos on the phone, but I’ve been lazy lately and don’t use my DSLR and Photoshop.
