A little edge

October 15, 2012

Just a touch…not much, but just a touch.

I love it when you can find a piece of clothing that you know you will wear a ton.  This shirt is one of them.  It has a pleather yoke and sleeves, with an exposed zipper in the back.  I got it at JC Penny last week, so they might still have some!

It has a nice loose fit and long enough to be comfortable.  The pleather gives it a little edginess, too.

These are also new pants from the fall CAbi line – the Counsel Pant.  They have a great fit, and again…they have LONGS.  Their sizing is plenty generous as these are a size 2 (I’m NOT a size 2 in the real world of real sizes).  The pockets lay really nice, too.  They don’t stick out like some slash pockets are wont to do.  I’m sure I will be wearing these a lot.  I’m willing to pay extra for nice quality work pants…I get YEARS of use out of them.

Shirt – JC Penny

Sweater – Von Maur

Pants – CAbi

Shoes – Charlotte Russe

Necklace – Claire’s

Earrings – Silpada

Hair – Split the hair off center and braided each side.  Put them in a pony tail on my lower neck and twisted them around each other.  Connected them with a pony tail holder at their ends.  Twisted them around the pony at the nape, tucking the ends underneath and pinning everything in place.  The ponytail holder at the nape keeps the hair up and has less of a drag on the pins.  Putting the pins through the pony tail also keeps them in place better.
