Barely worn

August 4, 2011

This shirt is one that I have worn maybe once before.  It’s a cute little knit top, but it is one of those tops that will show every bulge in your mid-section.  I finally wore it today, as I am feeling more confident about my mid-section.

For the past 10 weeks I have been working out nearly every day.  There was a week in there that I didn’t get a work out in, and a few days here or there, but for the most part…EVERY DAY.  How much weight have I lost.  Nada. Nothing.  Zilch.   My weight will go down a pound, and then up two pounds and then down a half-pound.  Basically, it hasn’t moved much in response with how much I have been moving my body.

Apparently muscle weighs more than fat.

I do still have a layer of pudge around my belly, but it is getting smaller.  I can feel ab muscles underneath.  I can see muscles starting to define themselves on my arms and my butt is slowwwwllllyyyy starting to lift back up.  I can wear a swimsuit outside and not be mortified by the fact that my tummy is extending past my boobs.  It’s not anymore.

I am getting strong and fit.  I may not enjoy exercising, but it is part of my daily schedule now.  I am showing my kids to eat healthy and exercise.  We don’t talk of “thin”, we talk of “strength” and “healthy”.

I hope I can keep this up once summer ends.  I have a harder time exercising in the winter, for some reason.  It’s not like my exercise room goes anywhere.   It’s still in the same spot!  That will be my winter resolution.  Keep up the good work, so when summertime comes next year I won’t even think twice about putting on my swimsuit.

Hair #22 –

Take two sections of hair from the top and split them into two sections, twisting as you twist them together.  Put a rubber band on the ends.  Take the rest of the hair, put in a pony tail and then twist around into a bun.  Secure with pins.  Take the two twists and wrap them around the bun.  Pin in place and tuck the ends underneath.
