Comfy cozies

December 8, 2011

Nothing too exciting to show, but I thought I would prove that I have sewed a bit more things in the last few weeks.

The Boy needed some new pants.  He loves warm and cozy fleece pants (who doesn’t???), so I made him three pairs of fleece (he’s wearing the gray ones with his Halloween costume in a previous post).

I also made him a pair of black pants for his after school Kung Fu class.  They were asking $29 for a pair of cotton black pants.   PFFFFFTTT!  I could make them for MUCH less.

Since the Girl has decided she likes black, I pulled out this houndstooth double knit. She said she wanted a long skirt, so it is long.  The sweater is an old sweater of mine that I refurbed for her, too.  She likes the sweater best and has worn it with her comic book pants, because it matches those pretty well, too.

I have also made two more jackets for Tipsy, my sister’s dog, the kids each one wrist wallet and some luggage handle covers for teacher gifts.  I need to finish up those teacher gifts with some matching luggage tags, make the kids each a snuggie-like contraption and the Girl really needs some more pants.  I have two pairs of pants cut out for the Boy, too, but he has enough that fits him for the time being.

Good thing I have the week before Christmas off!

  1. Okay… that last sentence cracks me up. Because I know you did all of that (pictured) withOUT having the week off, LOL!

I am scared to think of what you might be able to produce given some dedicated vacation time!

    I love the houndstooth/red combo!
