Easy, breezy

September 15, 2012

When I got up on this morning and looked outside it was really, really windy.  The weather gods were blowing in a warm front, and there was a heat advisory that day.

Even so…cold office.

This outfit marries the two a bit.  It is nice and comfortable, but can be made cooler by taking off the vest.

I am also starting a new exercise routine…getting up early.

You have no idea how much I hate getting up early, but it was needed. Before I was trying to rush, rush, RUSH!! each evening.  I would get home, workout, make dinner, do laundry, attend to the small people, get them in bed, and then figure out if I had time to complete anything else before going to bed.  Now that I am working out in the morning, I don’t feel like I am constantly on a timer.  Despite all that, school is starting along with the kids’ fitness activities.  The boy is in soccer two times a week, and the girl is in gymnastics and swimming.  Then they need to fit in their homework.  It’s better if I can focus on them in the evenings, so everything gets done.

It’s a busy life!

Shirt – Made by Me

Vest – JC Penny

Pants – CAbi (these are a size too big, so they fit lower on my waist.  I had to re-hem them higher so I could wear them without a 5″ heel)

Jewelry – Handmade gift from a friend

Heels – Target…$9 on sale (I have a hard time buying something in such a singular color if they aren’t on sale.  Their usage is limited)

Hair – Wet from the shower, I took it into three sections.  I twisted up each section and pinned with 3″ long pins.  At the end of the day, I went dancing with my girlfriends and my hair was sorta dry.  Gives it some nice curls.
