Fall trees outfit

October 23, 2012

You have already seen pictures of this one, but I thought I would describe it a bit…

The top is made from organic cotton jersey from Spoonflower.  This one printed pretty true to my design, so I was happy about that.  It is so nice and soft, too!  This will be a great shirt for her to wear with jeans.

I ordered one yard and it wasn’t quite enough to make a dolman sleeved shirt out of it.  I had to patch up one of the sleeves for it to work.  It is the back on one side.

I also made a necklace to match.  Got to have the pretty!

The skirt is made out of wovens.  One is a seersucker and one is regular cotton woven.  The ribbons were purchased from Michaels on clearance.  The owls was a wired ribbon, so I took out the wires.  It all matched up pretty well.

Here she is looking all pretty!  This was a quick make to get some matchy-matchiness for our family pictures.  I had to stare at fabric for awhile to figure out what I wanted to do.  Once I got it figured out, everything went together pretty quickly.

I have Kai’s swap pretty much done, so I will get those pictures together and posted this week.
