In which I prepare for winter

October 5, 2012

The day before I wore this outfit I had checked the weather and it was supposed to be in the 60’s.  Well, it was in the 70’s, so it was a bit too warm for the weather.  Oh well, I just took off the scarf at noon to account for the fact that I was roasting.  The next day was 70 and then we delved into the 50’s.  Gosh I love yo-yo weather <insert sarcasm here>!

It is time to break out the sweaters!  I haven’t bought much in the past few years, so my closet is looking a bit boring to me.  Some of my sweaters are starting to get pilling and stretching from wearing them so much.  I decided to go shopping to update some of my pieces.

I don’t shop for clothes very often.  Well, I go into stores, but usually come out with nothing.  I have a hard time spending my hard-earned money on clothes I can make.  HOWEVER, I have no loom or knitting needles or actual capability to knit sweaters.

Unfortunately, I didn’t buy much for sweaters.  Mostly layering pieces and some things that were missing in my wardrobe that I wanted.  I spent way too much on it, too.  I also had to bring back an impulse buy at the register.  They had a cool Green Bay Packers sweatshirt, so I threw that in.

It was $60.

I can just wear my Packers t-shirt on game day with a sweater over it…I don’t need a $60 sweatshirt.  Yes…I am cheap!
