OOTD – Week of November 11

November 17, 2019

Well it was record cold for this time of year, so warmth was what I was looking for. I also had a hard time bending my thumb without ripping out the healing that was going on, so putting on tights was a struggle! I opted for simpler things to wear earlier in the week while I waited on my thumb to mend up a bit.

Monday, November 11:

  • Top – Bella Sunshine Sophia dress/tunic. This was supposed to be a dress length, but that didn’t work for me. A bit too short. It is a good layering piece, though.
  • Sweater – purchased from Express
  • Pants – Copy of a RTW pair that I made a few years back.
  • Shoes – Zapato via Zulily
  • Scarf – I loom knitted this one a few years ago, added leather and the snaps and d-rings.
  • Jewelry – Earrings/Zulily, Necklace/Design Toscano
  • Hair – Again, should have actually taken a picture of the back. I had several small ponytails layered over each other. I’ll have to do it again and get pictures next time.

Tuesday, November 12:

  • Dress – New make from Sunday. This pattern is one that I first used for this Harry Potter dress, only it had a keyhole and was sleeveless. I did a different hack with it, and posted about it this week.
  • Cardigan – New make from Sunday. This is my cardigan pattern that I have made many, many times. I made it from a lightweight sweater knit.
  • Fleece leggings – purchased from Zulily
  • Boots – Easy Spirit
  • Jewelry – earrings/Stella & Dot, Necklace/local purchase…forgot where
  • Hair – Wet and partially put up in a bun.

Wednesday, November 13:

  • Top – Made a few years ago as part of a capsule. I ended up shortening it as it was too long.
  • Cardigan – purchased from Express
  • Skirt – New make from sueded scuba knit. My own pattern.
  • Scarf – Made last year maybe?
  • Boots – Easy Spirit
  • Earrings – Stella & Dot
  • Hair – Just back in a simple ponytail!

Thursday, November 14:

  • Dress – Made this one over the summer. The main fabric is my own fabric design printed on Modern Jersey from Spoonflower. It is the same pattern as the dress from Tuesday, only longer with 3/4 sleeves and a keyhole neckline.
  • Sweater – purchased from Express
  • Fleece Leggings – purchased from Zulily. I’m more into wearing leggings than tights these days. My office is super chilly in the morning, so before my heater gets it warmed up I need some additional warmth!
  • Cowl – Made a few weeks ago out of minky
  • Boots – Miz Mooz
  • Jewelry – Stella & Dot

Friday, November 15:

  • Scarf – Only thing me made on this outfit! I loom knitted this one last spring. I have a lot of scarves, it is true. It is a easy thing to sit and do while watching tv.
  • Pants – I love these pants. They are long enough, have tons of pockets and suck in my tummy. I got them from Amazon and they are tactical pants. I will be buying more.
  • Top – Purchased from Express years ago.
  • Sweater – Purchased from Zulily this fall.
  • Shoes – Jambu. This is my second pair of these shoes and they are comfy to stand around in all day.
  • Earrings – Stella & Dot
  • Hair – Straightened a little. It’s Friday and minimal effort is the key!

Saturday, November 16:

Had to go into work this day, so something warm and comfy was needed.

  • Sweatshirt dress – I made this last winter and it is so comfy to wear. I have some grey sweatshirt fleece, so I think I need to make another! That will make three. I made a red and black one, too.
  • Dark red fleece leggings – purchased via Zulily. These have a definite chemical smell to them, so not sure I’m going to be buying many more from them. Never had that issue before. I do love how they fit and how warm they are though.
  • Scarf – I loom knitted this one at least last winter if not before. My daughter wanted it and then never wore it so I took it back!
  • Earrings – sterling silver from Zulily
  • Boots – purchased from Zulily. Cheap, but finding navy colored boots is not easy.
  • Hair – I didn’t want to wash it, so I just braided my fringe up on both sides and then put it all back in a ponytail.

Sunday, November 17:

  • Dress – Made this fall and I don’t think I even posted about it on Instagram. It was my own pattern with a print I got at least a year ago from 42 Custom Fabrics.
  • Red Sweater – Purchased
  • Navy Leggings – Purchased
  • Boots – Mi.iM
  • Earrings – Design Toscano
  • Hair – Braided up so it can dry and be curly tomorrow!

That is a wrap for this week. Not sure I am going to do this next week, since I have to travel for work. Maybe I will and you will get some hotel room mirror shots! It is just a couple of days, but it is two cities in a couple of days, and I am already exhausted. Off to pack to figure out what to wear that will be comfortable, professional and be able to walk a lot in the same shoes since I don’t want to bring a big bag.
