Pretending it’s warm

July 14, 2011

Our summer seems to be a bit bi-polar.  Some days it is cool, then other days it is hot and humid.  This was a cool day, but I was trying to pretend it was a warm summer day.

Then, I went into my office and turned on my heater.

This skirt is a bit hard to wear.  It is rather form-fitting with stretch to go over and show all your lumps and bumps.  It was helpful on a windy day like today, though, since I didn’t want my skirt flipped up by a gust.

I need longer shirts to wear with this skirt.  I tried to wear this shirt, but it was just too much.  That shirt just seems like such a pretty, girly piece but I can’t find the right outfit to wear it.  I’m thinking of turning it into a sleeveless vest and then there would be less white and ruffles.  Maybe that will work.

White shirt – Anne Taylor LOFT (yes…again)

White Cami – Charlotte Russe

Skirt – Kohls

Shoes – VS (via Marshall’s)

Jewelry – Montana Silversmiths (relics of my time of working retail at a western wear store)

Hair Day #11

Well, I tried.  This was supposed to be a reverse braid going up the back of my head into a braided bun at the top, but you can’t see it.  Apparantly I need to start closer to the nape of my neck.  It’s hard to see what you are doing when your head is upside down and all the blood is flowing there.  ; )  So…basically, I just braided my hair upside down all the way to the ends and then put it into a bun with 3″ pins at the top.
