Teal and ruffles

September 30, 2012

Ah, more clothes coming out of their summer retirement.  I love this little french terry jacket.  The ruffles are the best part.  It works best when I have my hair up, but I have been lazy lately.  Mainly because I have been fighting a fall cold.  I hate those things!

My hubby was out of town for about a week and a half and I have a whole new appreciation for single, working moms.  I had to pick and choose what activities I could get the kids to, and I missed a parent curriculum night at school (though, I did stop to speak to the teacher beforehand).  Trying to get them to everything, get their homework done and still manage to get food in their little maws and clean clothes is just plain hard when you are doing everything on your own.  Good job, Ladies.  You deserve a standing ovation.

Black Shell – Retail, many moons ago

Teal Jacket – Starling via Von Maur

Black Pants – Von Maur (they were on sale for about 75% off because they were unhemmed.  I love being able to sew!)

Teal shoes – Target

Necklace and earrings – Gift

Hair – Braid waves  + a twist to get my fringe out of the way

  1. That jacket is so gorgeous; teal is one of my fave colors. I know you hear this a lot, but you have amazing hair!

I was a single mom for many years, and while I think I managed okay, I do feel blessed to have a very nurturing hubby in it with me this time around. Two teenage girls will wear a body out, in about 13 minutes…lol.

  2. hi stacy, i hope you recover soon from the fall cold! you look amazing nevertheless. teal is one of my favorite colors and perfectly to the color of your hair. i had been a single working mom for nearly 15 years. but my children live with me and with her father every other week and i had a 3/4 time job, that makes things easier. althouhg i rememeber i had to be very busy and well organised to avoid chaos. but i think that’s the lot of all parents.
