Too hot for me

July 10, 2012

I am speaking of the weather, of course.

It has been in the 90’s for the past week or so with a few more 90’s yet to go, and lots of humidity.  Not used to that here.  On the 4th of July we sat at a baseball field from 11:30 to 1pm in the heat of the day watching our little man play.  He did a superb job and by the last at bat, he was just done.  Those kids were real troopers in that heat.    Laying on our basement floor where it is in the 60’s sounded quite nice after that.

The problem with summer weather and working at an office job is that the temperature differential is quite severe.  Outside it is hot and humid, and inside is an icebox.  I have a heater I use in my office, and it runs year-round.  It would be nice to have a happy medium.

Top – Express

Vest – Charlotte Russe

Skirt – Made by Me

Jewelry – Made by Me

Shoes – Nine West

Hair – First, I did a french braid along the front to get my fringe put away.  The I did an outside braid angled from one side to the other, adding in the front braid.  I think I have heard that this type of braid has been recently named the “Katniss braid” from The Hunger Games.  I have been doing it for a few years now, so its not really a “new” thing.  Like most things in this world.

  1. Wonderful hair styling Stacy! I love that short sleeved cardigan over your skirt. I can see how you might get cold at work though. The heat is what’s hard on me. I can’t take it for more then about 10 minutes at a time in the direct sun.
