Using up more scraps!

January 23, 2019

I made some more underwear, and took out pretty much all of my scraps to try to find my little gems hidden away.  My sewing room was a mess.

I was running out my lace elastic, so I had to make do.  I cut some of my thicker lace down the middle for some of the legs, and used cotton lycra for a few waistbands.  I prefer lace, as the cotton lycra doesn’t lay as flat as it is doubled up.  Now I need to restock my lace elastic before I can make more.

Here are the 6 new pairs:

Pair 1: Cylons from Sugar Ink, black bamboo lycra from Nature’s Fabrics and black lace purchased locally.

Pair 2: Phoenix by me, Red Lightning from Fabric Anthropology, and black lace purchased locally.

Pair 1: Cascade from Smoogie, Banana Leaves from Snowy Owl Customs, white lace purchased locally

Pair 2: Oceano from Smoogie, white lace purchased locally, blue FOE purchased online

Pair 1: Hearts from Moonbeam Textiles, My design, white lace purchased locally

Pair 2: Prince birds from Fabric Anthropology, Grey remnant from a panel from Zenith and Quasar, white lace purchased locally

I think that I am done with updating my underwear drawer now!  That is 13 pairs in the last week, so I think that is enough for right now.  I love the fit and the fabrics I used, so they make me happy!

I cleaned up my sewing room last night, so now I am ready for the next project!
