A Tooth Fairy pillow for the horse crazy girl

December 11, 2012

This was a pretty quick make for the girl.  She has already lost two teeth, so I am a bit late.  In my defense, the first one she lost was on our trip to Seattle this summer, while we were on a walk.

I wasn’t prepared!

Her big tooth is on the cusp of coming out, but it is taking it’s time.  She doesn’t want us to pull it either.

Hopefully, she doesn’t swallow it in the middle of the night.

Could happen.  You never know…

So…anywhooo, she wanted one that had a horse on it.  Luckily, I got this little iron on appliqué from her Aunt Susie.  A bit of ribbon and some white fabric, and we have this lovely little Tooth Fairy pillow.

It hangs on her door handle…outside her room.

For obvious reasons…

Wouldn’t want the Tooth Fairy to wake her, right?? 😉

Well, it looks like I got it done just in time…

After I finished this post, it was almost out at bedtime.  She came down and said it was really loose, so we had to work on it a little bit to get it out the rest of the way.  In the end there were a few tears, but she perked back up after I got it out of her mouth.  Then she examined the curious little thing.

It was much less traumatic than the last time we lost front teeth in our house.

Her other front tooth is a little loose, too.

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth, my two front teeth, my two front teeth…

🙂
