Flowers

September 5, 2011

This is the last of the full outfits for Anya.  I may have more forthcoming, but I should sew something for Kailan and then maybe me.

This first outfit is a flowerly camo knit with lycra.  The green is just a regular cotton knit.  The place where I buy fabric has a bit limited lycra selection.  I am happy when I can find a knit of this quality there.  It was hiding under the rest of the hunting camo fabrics.  This belongs with the hunting camo…wouldn’t you think? 😉

The shirt has insets in the front and the back, with some rick rack on the front panel.  I did longer cuffs on the shirt, too.  A nice comfy outfift.

Next, is my attempt to use up this aqua french terry (this has some lycra for stretch, too).  I had to patch it a bit to get the length, which was again too long.  I guess I need to decrease that legging pattern a bit, huh?

The shirt has some of the flower fabric on the arms with a bit of grosgrain ribbon.  I used the rest of the ribbon to put a flower-ish ribbon on the front of the shirt.

That’s it for now…hopefully, I will get more done this week.

  1. holy, holy, holy clothes! you inspire me, girl. i just need to quit my job for a week and lock myself in the sewing room. wow. wow!

and i love the body double…i’d actually like one of those for each of the girls, too…not to mention wrap them up in duct tape for a bit. 😉
