Guess what his daddy likes to do

July 12, 2011

Hey, look…I sewed!  This little blanket is for Brian’s cousin’s little boy.  I hope he will grow to like hunting.  It is bound to happen with how avid his daddy is about it.

Camo minky, plaid flannel and cream store bought satin bias binding

Then I also got a skirt sewed up for me.  One of my regular-no-thinking-about-it skirts in stretch twill.

I also used this tutorial to make myself a woven headband for working out.  I just cut up a cotton t-shirt that was stained and went to weaving.  It didn’t take very long to do and now I have a sweat soaker. I’m pretty sure this is the method my dad used when he wove us all nylon reins for our headstalls/bridles.  They worked pretty darn good, too.

  1. Oh…I’m betting he will love that blanket! I saw that tutorial and it is on my list of things to try, too. The girls love headbands but are so picky about them being “too tight” – I think that might be the answer.

  2. Woohoo! So glad you got the sewing machine out. Love the skirt (and shoes). I saw that headband tutorial too. Very cute idea.
