Summer has finally decided to arrive. It’s in the 80’s and feels wonderful!
In the summer I usually wear sleeveless shirts to work. My office is business casual, and is in the usually more conservatively dressed field of finance. I used to wear suits to work 5 days a week, and in the summer it was sweltering. I love working in a more casual atmosphere. We can even wear jeans to work on Fridays!
I know that some people believe that you shouldn’t show so much skin at work, and I used to be in that camp. I’m not sure what really changed in my thinking, but mostly it’s that I want to wear what I want to wear. I have proved myself to be a smart person, so the clothes I choose to wear shouldn’t make a difference. I think I dress professionally, though not conservatively.

Hair – No new hairstyle this day. We had a rock concert to go to this night (A Perfect Circle), so I wanted more “modern” hair. Straightening it seemed like the way to go. I ended putting half of it up in a bun when I changed for the concert. I should have put it all up…man, it was hot in there!
