Stash game – day 3

September 5, 2018

Sewing Mamas forum is doing a stash game for September, so I decided I would join in.  There isn’t much participation on the forum these days, but I figured it would be something that would give me a push.   I do have limited time with the kids’ sports, but I would like to get at least something done each day.

I started out the weekend with a volleyball tournament and not much sleep, so day 1 was a bust.  Day 2 I got a few things cut out, but the family wanted to do a Netflix binge, so I opted for family time.

I did work on a loom beaded bracelet, though.  I need to get it glued onto the backing yet and will show it then.  I just need to remember how.  It has been 1.5 years since I did the last ones!

I drafted a few patterns last week in order to get my sewing started on September 1.

The first pattern was supposed to be a hoodie, but I ran out of fabric for it.  I wanted to make it like this one I found on Pinterest.  It has a pocket in the front and should be comfy and warm.

The yoga pants were just a pattern I drafted previously.  I added a higher waistband to it, since she tends to pull it up to her high natural waist.

The teal bamboo sweatshirt fleece came from Nature’s Fabrics, and the galaxy double brushed poly came from Zenith & Quasar Fabrics.

This next outfit has a pair of joggers that I drafted from a Target pair I purchased for her in the spring.  They were about 6 inches too short in the legs and needed some added to the rise.  This was the result of copying the pattern and adjusting it for her.  I made a video on how to do it, but I need to figure out how to get it sped up so it is short enough for YouTube.

The joggers have pockets, so yay for pockets!

The top here is the Sneha by Wardrobe by Me (affiliate link).  I added a hood to it.

Fabrics are from Nature’s Fabrics for the bamboo French terry and Fabric Anthropology for the brushed poly Smog print.

Lastly, I made a late night make with this outfit.

The top is the Sneha (affiliate link), sans hood, and the bottoms are the joggers again.  Fabrics are the Patina Dragonscale in bamboo lycra from Threaded Candy Custom Fabrics, and the Emerald French terry from Nature’s Fabrics.

That is what I have gotten done so far.  I fell off the wagon and purchased more bamboo French terry from Nature’s Fabrics Labor Day sale.  I know that it will be used up, though.  Gotta make some more joggers!
